The Alzheimer's Association, Michigan Great Lakes Chapter will be celebrating summer early again this year by hosting our fourth annual "Summer Somewhere" grand fundraising event. On March 19, 2010, we will take you out to the ball game - away from the cold of winter to the warmth of a baseball park complete with great summer food, festivities, and entertainment.
Summer Somewhere: Play Ball! will be held in Washtenaw Community College's beautiful Morris Lawrence Building Atrium, 4700 East Huron River Drive, Ann Arbor. This innovative, fun, relaxed, and casual fundraiser to benefit our Chapter will showcase fabulous food prepared by some of the best professional chefs in the area. It will also feature great entertainment including the best blend of great dance music performed by the Lazy River Band. Our renowned silent auction also promises to be another memorable highlight of the evening.
We are very excited to announce that Ann Arbor-based NuStep, Inc., manufacturer of the NuStep Recumbent Cross Trainer, is once again the event's top Grand Slam Sponsor. For the fourth year running, NuStep has pledged a $10,000 matching gift for donations made to the Alzheimer's Association, Michigan Great Lakes Chapter. Their support of our Chapter is truly appreciated!
All proceeds from this event will help the thousands of area individuals and families affected by Alzheimer's disease. The impact of our valuable programs and services is far-reaching. There are more than 44,000 people with Alzheimer's disease living in the 23-county region served by our Chapter.
